Pastor Grove Armstrong, a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College and Asbury Theological Seminary, served thirty three years in the pastoral ministry. From 1956 to 1973, he ministered in Free Methodist Churches in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and from 1980 until 1996 was Senior Minister of the Central Congregational Church in Derry, New Hampshire. He is currently Pastor Emeritus of Central Congregational Church. He ministered on the radio for over 20 years in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire.

He served on the Congregational Foundation for Theological Studies and in 1992 was awarded the Dr. Harry R. Butman Award for Outstanding Service to the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches for his work in writing the Lay Minister's Training Course. From 1974 to 1980, he was a debit agent with the Prudential Insurance Company in Flanders, NJ, where he won several awards for sales achievements. He has taught a preaching course at an Indian Trails Mission school in Mexico.

Throughout his ministry, he wrote for newspapers, denominational magazines, devotional booklets, and The International Sunday School Lessons. He self-published The Art of Personal Worship, which has gone through five editions. He now has a blog written to encourage the people of God. Its address is: grovert.wordpress.com.

He is a seminar instructor with Prison Fellowship and has ministered in prisons in Pennsylvania, Arizona and New Hampshire.

Grove and his wife, Charity have assisted in the construction of four homes with Habitat for Humanity and volunteered at Camp Susque, a Christian summer camp. Presently they live on the campus of JAARS, Inc. in Waxhaw, NC where they serve as volunteers.

Of their eight children, three are teachers, two engineers, two lawyers, and one a nurse. They thank God for their twenty-nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

All the profits from the sale of this book are dedicated to missions, some of which are described herein.
