The Central Idea sprang from a desire to minister in a special way, by providing scriptural truths in a devotional format. The name of a church I love is Central Congregational Church, so I enjoy the word play this affords, as I try to always point to Christ as the Central Person, the Center of our Christian lives. "Center" means to me many things at once: it's the choicest or most essential or most vital part of some idea or experience; it's the point where balance is achieved, harmony and meaning; in a circle, it's a point having no physical dimension, something that speaks to me of the Holy Spirit, the Son, and the Father all at once, all together, all separate; in metaphysics, it's the essential nature or underlying reality of something, or hypostasis, again the union of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in one Godhead.

So, please enjoy these little pieces or prayer; I hope they will speak to you of all these things, but especially I hope you will learn more than anything else to recognize and appreciate the Central Idea: Christ, Peace.
