About the Author Greetings and best wishes!   For a long time I’ve wanted to describe the ‘50s-era adventures of “The Silver Hill Boys and the Secret Railroad Club.” With that goal in mind, I gradually started keeping notes in a special file…information…bit by bit…over time…until, a few years ago the pieces finally started coming together – and the book appeared.
Although it focuses on railroading and The Secret Railroad Club founded by four bright elementary school boys, the book touches on a variety of interesting subjects within the realms of fact, fiction, and fantasy. Welcome to the 1950s!
We’ve found that the book has been making a welcomed gift for readers both young and young at heart, friends old and new, grandchildren, railfans of all ages. Adults find it to be an interesting and enjoyable read. Includes color, black and white photos, and charcoal drawings.
A number of people have remarked on the wonderful memories the book evokes. During the enjoyable ride or should I say, enjoyable read you may discover a new thing or two (or three) about a certain town that for many of us will always be nestled somewhere in our hearts.
And so… I extend this cordial invitation to visit “the secret clubhouse”!
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of “The Silver Hill Boys and the Secret Railroad Club” is donated to T.F.Y.R.G. The Flying Yankee Restoration Group. Before too long, all of us will be able to enjoy a ride(s) on this 1935 treasure. When fully restored in New Hampshire it will be the only operating train of this type.
