Use Kintana and PACE for error tracking, and EDMS and Lotus Notes to access technical documentation. Interact regularly with offshore test team.

(9/06-1/07) - Sr. QA Engineer. Test automation focusing on company’s client-facing website fidelity.com. Tests interactively verify full range of investor trading activities for stocks, bonds, options, mutual funds, money movement selections, and extended hours operations. These tests cover GUI interactions, workflow, plus positive and negative tests for operations such as Buy, Sell, BTC (buy to close), STO (sell to open), and more.

Use IBM Rational Test Manager, Test Manager Agent, ClearCase and ClearQuest, integrated with proprietary Qframe/Qforms tools to automate the test process. Qframe/Qforms use custom developed Java methods to implement reusable GUI functions as specified by lead test engineers. Test developer engineers create tests by arranging selected java methods as determined by the investment activity under test.

Execute/maintain automated functional and regression tests, and analyze failures to identify functional or environmental causes. Perform manual tests to compare test performance in production versus test environments. Execute individual tests and suites of multiple tests. Use available technology (network shared Files, ClearCase versioned files) to stream analysis summaries to leads and developers. Use ClearQuest query capability to identify and select bug/change items for modification or review. Use CQ report feature to inform team of bug/change status and metrics. Perform CQ administrator functions to manage/modify database structure as needed.
